Where’s the Lie?

The name is Brie, like the cheese. I am currently nestled in the QUEEN CITY or Charlotte, North Carolina as many may know it. However, I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I made my way here a little over 10 years ago.

Fun facts about me: 2014, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Marketing. In the beginning of my stint of school, I thought I would be designing a line of clothing or working in some large retailer’s design studio by the time of graduation. How wrong was I? However, instead it led me to a life in retail management for 11 years. However, along the way I never knew that time period was preparing me for something greater.

Three years ago new career landed in my lap, which led me to developing my own business. All it took was some encouragement from another business owner, some trial and error, and some creativity. Then boom, SWEET PINEAPPLE LIES was born. If you know me well enough, you know I have a thing for pineapples. One thing I don't like is being lied too. Combine the two and we get SWEET PINEAPPLE LIES! You know…those lies we’ve been told.

This pandemic has taught me that wasting your talent is not fair to anyone. We only live one life. Let's spend it choosing to stay positive, reject the negative, and embrace the opportunity that presents itself.
